We aim to breed healthy, structurally correct and offspring with strong temperaments !
To reach this aim the ABBA enforces basic breeding ethics to their members that they have to follow.
Part of these ethics is the medical care for the dogs owned by a member, starting with basic vaccinations, de-worming and regular health checks.
Along with all breeding stock having to be checked for hip- and elbow-dysplasia, via an officially accredited veterinarian.
NCL/CCL (Canine Ceroid Lipofuscinosis) is tested for, along with a heart-ultrasound examination.
Every breeding dog has to prove its type with at least one show placement at an officially recognized Bulldog Show (ABA, ABNA, NKC, ABRA) along with all dogs proving their stable temperament by passing the ABBA Temperament Evaluation.
The dogs have to be tattooed or micro chipped for identification and puppies can only be sold with a vaccination document as well as an American registration (ABA, ABRA, NKC) along with the European pedigree.
We only breed purebred dogs with pedigrees that contain as much information about the ancestors as possible.
By Buying a dog out of controlled kennels in the manner as described above, you can be sure that it is purebred, and that its parents haven been checked for temperament and health.
This way the breeding for improvement is easier to achieve as it makes it possible to collect data back from the ancestors held within the pedigrees, helping to ensure better breeding programme’s
This website aims to provide information about breeders, events, actual and planned breedings, studs and a lot more about the American Bulldog as a working dog breed.
